Rising Bharat Summit 2024: Sidharth Malhotra made his web series debut in January with Rohit Shetty and Sushwanth Prakash’s The Indian Police Force, and will be next seen in Yodha
Actor Sidharth Malhotra will be among the speakers at the Rising Bharat Summit 2024, the fourth edition of the CNN-News18 marquee leadership conclave to be held in New Delhi on March 19-20, which will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The summit celebrates India’s remarkable transformative journey, while also acknowledging the immense potential that lies ahead.
Malhotra began his career as a model at the age of 18. Dissatisfied with his modelling career, he went on to work as a trainee assistant director to Karan Johar for the 2010 film, My Name Is Khan. He made his acting debut with a leading role in Johar’s teen drama, Student of the Year (2012), for which he received a Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut nomination.
While films such as Hasee Toh Phasee, Kapoor and Sons, and Baar Baar Dekho, gave him the ‘lover boy’ image, he came in a new avatar on screen in 2021 with Shershaah, where he played Captain Vikram Batra. The movie won him accolades.
Malhotra made his web series debut in January with Rohit Shetty and Sushwanth Prakash’s The Indian Police Force, starring Shilpa Shetty and Vivek Oberoi. His next film Yodha releases on March 15 and is set in the skies. The trailer revealed that the film focuses on a flight being hijacked. Disha Patani plays an airhostess, while Malhotra leads the rescue operation. Raashii Khanna plays his love interest.
Through insightful discussions, thought-provoking panels, and a visionary keynote address, Rising Bharat aims to delve deeper into the multifaceted dimensions of India’s global influence and its role in shaping a more equitable and sustainable future for all with its mantra — ‘Leading for Global Good’.
